So, all you who know Matthew well, know that he is a bit expressive with his words and has a GIANT imagination.
Today as we were driving he was practicing his counting and when he gets up to 10 he often skips it and proceeds to 11 with his goal to reach 20 each time. Brett and I keep correcting him and reminding him about poor forgotten number 10 but today we found out why it is missing.........
After the 3rd time reminding him of 10 he stopped and quite adamantly proclaimed to all of us that..."I cannot do 10 dad, it is gone-the lion ate it." When he counted up to 9 again skipping 10, we asked why and he reassured us that in fact the lion has eaten it and it is just gone.
Well, that explains why we have had a missing 10 around this house.

Cockapoo's?
I just got home from bringing Joshua and Matthew to visit Papa (Brett's 92 year old grandfather) and help him with lunch today and I have a funny story.
There is a lady "Marion" who is always sitting out by the nurses area with her walker and she is very friendly and always makes a fuss over the boys when we go there. This is totally normal and I know lots of the people are glad to see children but today after she asked her usual questions of who they were, their names and ages and such , she then asked what breed they were?
This caught me off guard a bit and I leaned over and said "What did you just ask me?"
She replied "What breed are they?"
I said "Those two? Do you mean what Nationality are they?"and pointed at Josh and Matthew who were just standing there.
"No" she says - "What breed are they? I have always had cockapoo's myself"
I just could not help myself and burst out laughing. I pointed at Joshua and Matthew again and explained that they were humans, two little boys, and they were not dogs at all.
"Oh, your kidding", she exclaimed.
I then walked away.

THANK YOU MICHAELS FAMILY
Last night Mr. Michaels - our across the street neighbor- did some babysitting until Olivia was home to take over. They gave the boys a great new train that was a hit. We have been playing "circus" train all morning. I think one of the cars if filled with animals as I type this. Thank You Mr and Mrs Michaels, Olivia and Jessica!
Ice Skating
As you can tell we are making the very most of our cold snowy winter. Yesterday I took the boys out ice-skating. We have a really nice outdoor rink that the village puts in every winter. Joshua got to try it out last year with Paca and Nana and was eager to go this winter. Here are some pictures of our afternoon and a video clip - they had a great time but as you can see I need to bring a shovel next time we go.
