Actually, he broke both bones on his left arm and got to take a fun ambulance ride to Children's Hospital. Dad and Mom were so thankful that he did not need surgery as originally thought. He is home today with a temporary cast and will get his new cool blue one next week. Yes, mommy did think to bring the camera with her to the hospital!
Here he is, pirate jammies and all! Not looking too happy though.
But don't worry…things got much better when the blue case was put on.

I seem to remember another 5 year-old breaking a bone about this time of the year, say... 17 years ago or so. Must be that lingering DeSutter DNA. Hope you guys have a fun 6-8 weeks! PS - Gross Anatomy is very cool.
Poor thing :( My favorite picture is of him in the hospital bed with the popsicle!! So cute.
