Front and Back Covers
I decided that I wanted to make our blogs into books that we keep as family memories for years to come. I also want them to serve as our picture books so we have photos to look back on and be able to remember what was going on at that time in our lives when the pictures were taken.
I have spent months researching and semi-trying out various programs that I have found online to convert the blog to a book. Finally, I just went for it, made a book and ordered one. Today Mr. Fed Ex showed up with my 2008 Blog Book. I am really pleased.
This program let me re-arrange pages...add in pages if I wanted to add more than I had originally posted, delete pages or photo's and had a lot of options for backgrounds. I also realized that I could go back to Scrapblog and when I had made a collection of pictures I could save each one separately and then add it to the book so I was not missing part of my Scrapblog project. I think that there is a way to even post comments that were made by others...I am going to work on that for the next book. This book was a hardcover - I did not choose the dust jacket (even though you had some fun options on it to add more pictures and personalize it) because over the years I am sure it will just get ripped!
Here are a few sample pages.

Super cute, Christina - I've been avoiding this for years and should probably take the plunge, too. I absolutely love the collages!
Very nice! Great idea Christina.
P.S. Brenna is adorable.

I downloaded the blurb software months ago but never tried it...I guess I'll have to get busy now!
They look wonderful. Can't wait to see. So many wonderful memories of your beatiful family wrapped in a beautiful book....
This is an awesome idea!! The booked turned out beautifully.
What a great way to re-visit those wonderful memories and photos. This is why I love the blogs...each one tells a story. How cool is that you can publish your very own book that tells a story of your life each year.
Thanks for sharing :)
so glad that you blogged about this. I was curious to see how it turned out for you! So, Blurb.com is he way to go! I'm going to follow suit... adding that to my long list of things to do before this baby arrives! Suddenly 6 weeks sounds shorter ;)
OK, the perfect Christmas Present for US! Love Mom and Dad
Totally awesome. I wanted to do something with the adoption blog...now I know how!
