Pirate Party

This weekend we had Joshua's 6th Birthday Party. We chose a pirate theme and the night before daddy and mommy got everything set up and early the next morning daddy spray painted a scull and crossbones on all the hats. He had his cousins over along with 3 children from his class from school and a the little girl who used to live next door.

Joshua was pretty impressed with his big cake. He tried to eat the treasure chest to find out it was rubber! The coins and rocks were all edible though! The skulls and skeleton are now on his new pirate ship - how appropriate.

All the kids enjoyed the crafting. They made eye patches, pirate hats, a telescope and a "hook". I got pictures of each of them and will send them their picture with their thank you card.
Joshua got lots of games, a transformer, a craft book, Blockbuster movie card with popcorn and candy, and a pirate ship.

Daddy holds the heavy cake while we all sing!

Happy Birthday Joshua! What a fun party you had.

Trick-or-Treat

This is the second year that the boys got to go out collecting yummy candy. My favorite thing is that as soon as they had a little candy they were ready to come home and look at it all. They have not caught onto the fact that the longer and further you go the more you can collect!! So cute, they just jumped up at the kitchen counter, dumped their bags and began to inspect their loot!!!

Pumpkin Carving

The other night Brett and the boys - T-shirts and all- got down to the serious business of some pumpkin carving. Brett let them pick to do whatever they wanted with their pumpkin. Check out Joshua's - I think he had quite a few options!!
