Peek-a-Boo

Brenna has discovered her favorite game. The other day I went to get her up from a nap and she started this all by herself. It went on for a long long time!!! She had thoroughly amused herself. Now if there is anything she can duck her head behind she does just waiting for someone to ask "Where is Brenna???" Then she pops out and laughs as we say BOOO!!

Hats

Today we received the sweetest gift in the mail. HATS! Aunt Amy surprised us with 3 adorable hats for Brenna. How cute are these??? Well , we immediately had to have a fashion show...Thank you so much Amy...I just love them. They are perfect!

Helping Haiti

Over the past week we, like may of you I am sure, have spent time in conversation regarding Haiti. We cannot help to reflect on what we have in our homes and how we truly cannot understand what the past 12 days have been like for so many people. Each night we pray with the boys asking God to give peace to the little children how don't have a mommy or daddy anymore or any food or water to drink. As we do that, we tuck our own little ones into warm clean sheets surrounded by more toys and books then they could ever need.

There are not only those who need to find the forgiveness and grace that comes from knowing Jesus Christ in Haiti but there are so many Christians who have also lost everything and need help in rebuilding churches and resources so they as the people of Haiti can reach out to their own.

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." Galatians 6:10

We found this organization last night that is reaching out to the Church in Haiti and we want to be a part of helping them. I thought we would share it all with you and as we look back on our blog in the years to come we pray that we are always reminded of the need to help others...especially those who also love the Lord.

I walked in on the boys taking a bath the other day and just burst our laughing when I saw where Joshua had been playing with his men!!!

Monopoly Lesson

Brett decided to teach Joshua how to play his favorite game - Monopoly. They had so much fun all afternoon learning how to buy property, pass GO and collect $200.00, end up in jail, get yourself out of jail and how much fun it is to land on Free Parking! I sat upstairs while Matthew and Brenna napped and listened to their chatter back and forth. It was such a joy to hear the excitement in Josh's voice as he played and Brett chuckling at his cute questions and attempts at making a bargin!

Happy New Year

Well 2010 has come...I remember when I felt that this year was SO far away.

We finally got some snow - it was late in coming this year...BUT....it has arrived!!! Lots of fluffy flakes have been falling this past week and the kids are loving it. Daddy has taken them sledding and we plan on going tobogganing soon.
