Colorado Skiing--Past Winter

Brett and I went out to Keystone Co for a few days this past February.  It was our first time skiing in the mountains and it did not disappoint.  It was so fun to experience Colorado in the winter after having gone there so much in the summer.   

Keystone was new for us but we did love skiing there and are sure this kids would have loved it too.

Of course we had to go to our favorite places in Breckenridge while we were there…yes we even ate crepes in the snow and they were just as good as in the summer.

It is always fun to see each child sing their theme songs, recite Bible verses and just have a great time.

Each child completed their books for the year and lots of awards were won!!!  

Great job kids - Dad and Mom are proud of you and all the hard work you did this year.

Quick Texas Trip

Brenna and I took a quick trip to Texas to do some family visiting.  

First, we flew into Houston to visit with Grams and Grandy.  As always, they are the sweetest and we had such a wonderful 2 days with them.  We visited at their house, played at The Woodlands Lake Park, fed the greedy ducks and watched Frozen together.

Second, Brenna and I drove up to see Jon, Stephanie, and cutie baby cousin Matheson in Dallas.  Steph made a great dinner and we loved hanging out in her adorable home.  We woke up the next day, loaded up the kiddos and headed out west - through the desert and oil fields- to west Texas.

Along the way us New Yorkers had to have a Chick-Fil-A stop.  

Finally we made it to Renee and Dan's house in Midland.  It was so fun to see all the kids together - yes we did have to go to Chick -Fil-A again.

Brenna adored big cousin Lydia and loved chasing Henry and Mabel around on the play set.  We rode bikes to the park - made a few meals and mostly just enjoyed family.

Always Great Hanging Out with Friends

 Just had a WONDERFUL visit with Jeff and Janine - always a crazy wonderful conversation that takes place.  SO glad that distance and time do not win out when it comes to friendships!

 Even parents can get in on the craziness… always a good idea to take pictures of yourself.

Visit to Indiana

 This past winter break I took the kids to Indiana to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cripe.  They have each had to go through transitions this year and have moved from the old country house to new places.  It was great to see both of them.

We even found time for some treats!
